Andreas Thieme was my guest in Tbilisi
and in Georgia. We've been in Khevsureti, Lagodekhi, in Tbilisi and at the Black Sea coast in Batumi. He was my first serious teacher in Painting back in Dresden 1986 and we got very good friends later. He is a pretty conservative Painter, who does not believe in all the newest art trends, but only in the lasting qualities of painting and composition itself. He is a big admirer of Soutine, Modigliani, Morandi, Rembrandt and Giacometti. Born in Zwickau 1956 and living in Dresden for many years his 50th birthday will be celebrated with a show of his works in Zwickau in the
Galerie am Domhof on October, 18th. See more of his paintings at his website
