Inspired by Jean Cocteau, I used to make underground films, and I used all the surrealistic technique I could invent.

I loved to start a scene with the camera focused on the mirror image, but so you thought it was the direct shot.

Then, as discussion or action occured, at the right moment, to pull away from the mirror and focus on the actual scene. This was always very startling and disorienting to viewers.

I devised a method of slanting a glass door at a certain angle so it caught, like a mirror, a television that was hooked to a VCR and was showing another film I made, and that image was on the glass door, and the television image was precisely superimposed upon a tree outside, directly behind the glass door, so it looked exactly like...

...a television tree, a tree with a television embedded in it.

With weird electronic music (that I made) playing in background.

"Adventures in the Art House" was the film, but all my films are lost now.

Someday, when I am able to touch real money again, I will re-make all my films. Some friends have copies of some of my films, but they are hard to reach now.

"Mars Explodes", "Madness in America", "It Happened One Christmas", "The Sleeping Charley", "Take the Liquor and Run", "Alien Entity", "The Murdering Mirror"...

...oh yes, about a big heavy sharp edged mirror that would fall and chop people's heads off at night.

I'm ashamed to admit I did a few silly "horror" films that were more funny than scary.

"The Bird From Another Dimension".

Lots of weird, innovative films.
